Lange Companies is currently looking for a Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Team.
In this position, we are seeking a dynamic Data & Business Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for transforming fragmented, manual processes and scattered data into clear, actionable insights. Working closely with the VP of IT, existing Business Analyst, and key stakeholders, you’ll help lay the foundation for a more cohesive and governed data environment, while also delivering meaningful reports and dashboards from day one.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role ideal for someone with strong technical skills, business curiosity, and a desire to grow as our data journey evolves.
This opportunity is available in the following location: St. Louis, MO.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, and Excel
- Collaborate with business units to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, useful visualizations
- Partner with the Business Analyst to explore business processes, identify performance metrics, and highlight areas for improvement
- Support the development and enforcement of data governance standards (data definitions, integrity, access, etc.)
- Work with the IT team to define and validate data sources, helping integrate and transform data from systems including Microsoft-based tools, our ERP (Oracle backend), our TMS system, and Azure services
- Contribute to the formation of our data and BI strategy, helping the company move toward more automated, data-enabled operations
- Identify opportunities to supplement internal capabilities by working with external data or BI vendors, consultants, or contractors; help scope engagements, evaluate deliverables, and ensure alignment with internal goals and standards
- Assist with ad hoc analysis and data pulls to support operations, sales, logistics, and executive decision-making
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3 – 6 years of experience in a data analytics, BI, or similar role
- Solid knowledge of Power BI and SQL (DAX and data modeling experience a plus)
- Comfort with Excel for analysis, data cleanup, and modeling
- Strong analytical thinking and business acumen, ability to connect data to real-world decisions, self-starter
- Experience working with cross-functional teams or varied departments
- Effective communication skills, especially in explaining data to non-technical users
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, or other cloud data platforms
- Background in distribution, logistics, brokerage, or other complex operational environments
- Experience in data governance or data quality initiatives
- Exposure to ERP systems or cloud data sources
