Lange Logistics in St. Louis, MO is seeking an experienced Account Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with new customers within the logistics space. The ideal Account Development Manager has a proven track record of success in developing new business opportunities and can work with a team to manage the day-to-day operations of new customers while maintaining high level relationships. Once business has been onboarded it will move to the Account Manager team and the Account Development Manager must have the ability to work with this team regarding customer success and maintain high level customer relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify business opportunities and cultivate professional working relationships with prospective clients.
  • Generate profitable sales in new accounts to meet KPIs and exceed revenue goals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends in transportation industry and analyze market data to capitalize on opportunities within the market.
  • Work closely with the team to develop creative solutions for customer needs.
  • Keep detailed notes within the CRM on current sales pipeline.
  • Work within the team to effectively pass off day-to-day management of new customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a direct sales role within a freight brokerage preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business and sales concepts, methods, and techniques, including Consultative Sales.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software, including TMS and CRM tools.
  • Have a proven track record of meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence, and negotiate.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and freight market dynamics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality as well as professional appearance.
  • Positive attitude, energetic, enthusiastic and optimistic.
  • A great work ethic, loyalty, maturity, respect for confidentiality.

Compensation: Salary + Bonus, based on experience
